As we are heading into a new week with some new rules and new leaves, here is a round-up of things to know for your dealership.
As of May 7th, the Province of Manitoba has implemented a paid Pandemic Sick Leave. This leave will apply to those employees who do not otherwise have a paid sick leave benefit and do not work from home.
The leave will provide for assistance in paying staff a sick leave benefit to a maximum of 5 days/$600. Employers will be required to submit their claim for reimbursement on-line and the application will be available May 14th at noon.
This leave provision is currently set to expire on September 25th, 2021.
In addition to the new leave. Manitoba has also updated it's restrictions.
All retail businesses must limit their capacity to 10% of usual capacity and maintain a minimum of 2 meters separation form all other members of the public.
Retail businesses must also have a system in place to monitor and maintain the capacity limit and continue to ensure all attendees of the dealership are abiding by mask and other health requirements.
